It’s completely normal to feel a little nervous. We’ve welcomed many first-time visitors, and we’re here to help you feel comfortable. Appointments are one-to-one, so we can give you our full attention and guide you through the experience.

Absolutely—makeup and styling can make a wonderful difference. Many clients arrive unsure of what’s possible and are delighted to discover a look they love. We’ll work with your features and preferences, and can use shapewear and corsets to help create your chosen silhouette.

Cindy or Victoria will welcome you into a private room, where we can chat about your appointment and the look you have in mind over a cup of tea or coffee, if you’d like. Appointments are one-to-one, with discretion throughout your visit.

We’ll begin with your makeup, which usually takes around 1–1.5 hours. For experiences that include dressing, we’ll then help you choose outfits and put your look together. Bring any ideas or preferences you have; if you’re not sure where to start, we’ll suggest options to suit your shape, height and personal style.

That’s your moment to enjoy! Depending on your chosen experience, you can relax in the studio, try different outfits, pose for photographs or head out into London with Victoria on a guided outing.

There’s no pressure to go out or have your photos taken—you’re welcome to keep the experience private and simply enjoy your look. If you’re unsure what you’d feel comfortable doing, tell us before booking and we’ll help you choose.

Our appointments are for clients aged 18 and over. This applies to all BWBG services.

Please ask us before booking. A Makeover & Dressing session can be a lovely way to share the experience with your partner, by prior arrangement.

For photoshoots, a partner may attend only if they are taking part in the photoshoot, by prior arrangement. We do not accommodate partners who are only coming to watch. If you and a friend would both like a makeover, see our duo makeover question below.

Yes. Victoria offers one-to-one makeup lessons at the studio, lasting about two hours. We can focus on a particular area, makeup style or look you’d like to learn.

Please contact us before booking about any known makeup ingredient allergies or sensitive skin, so we can discuss your requirements. Please also include these details in your questionnaire.

If needed, you’re welcome to bring your own suitable makeup by prior arrangement.

No—you don’t need to remove your body hair before visiting. Clothing and opaque hosiery can help cover hair on your legs, chest or arms, so this needn’t stop you from enjoying a makeover.

You don’t need your own wardrobe for an experience that includes dressing—we provide clothes, wigs, shoes and accessories. You’re welcome to bring favourite items or inspiration pictures too. We’ll send preparation information for your chosen experience after booking.

Yes. Makeover & Dressing, Photoshoots and Guided Excursions include our supplied wardrobe, wigs, shoes, breast forms and accessories, plus lashes and temporary nails, at no extra charge.

Makeup & Go includes lashes and nails, with optional wardrobe hire available separately for studio appointments. Mobile visits are makeup only.

We stock UK sizes 8–24 in dresses, tops and skirts, and UK shoe sizes 5–13. There are hundreds of outfit options across three wardrobes, including club wear, elegant dresses, tops and skirts, evening gowns, cocktail dresses and lingerie. We also have casual daytime options for outings. If you have particular sizing or style requirements, let us know before booking.

Yes. We have hip and bum pads, corsets, waist cinchers and other shapewear to help create your preferred silhouette.

Our approach focuses on creating a smoother outline with supportive shapewear. We can discuss suitable options for your chosen outfit during your appointment.

We have different styling options to help create the appearance of cleavage. We’ll help you choose an option that suits your outfit and the look you’d like to achieve.

We strongly recommend arriving clean-shaven so we can achieve the best possible makeup result. If you need to shave at the studio, bring your own razor and shaving cream.

If you’d prefer to keep your beard, contact us before booking. Only a very limited makeover is possible with facial hair. Removing body hair is optional.

Makeover & Dressing is a relaxed experience focused on enjoying your transformation and trying different outfits. You’re welcome to take selfies, and we can help with a few informal phone pictures if you’d like.

A photoshoot includes a dedicated photography session using a professional camera and lighting, with guidance on posing throughout. We’ll create a collection of photographs featuring different outfits, poses and angles, with a selection of edited and unedited images for you to keep.

Outing expenses are separate from the package price. The client pays for both themselves and Victoria, including drinks, meals, entry tickets and taxis.

These expenses are paid directly during the outing. Please discuss your plans and budget with us beforehand so you can allow for the additional costs.

Yes. Duo makeovers can be arranged if you and a friend would like to enjoy the experience together. You can choose a photoshoot for both of you or a relaxed Makeover & Dressing session.

Please contact us with your ideas and preferred dates. We’ll discuss the looks, timings and price with you and confirm availability.

Yes. Removing your makeup and helping you change back is a standard part of our makeover, dressing, photoshoot and guided outing sessions. We allow time for this before your appointment ends—you don’t need to request it separately. Makeup & Go is the exception, as it’s designed for you to leave wearing your makeup for your own plans.

Yes. We always ask your permission before sharing your photographs in our online gallery or on social media. You’re welcome to keep your photographs private—just let us know your preference.

You can change your permission at any time by emailing us.

Of course. Having photographs taken is entirely optional. Our Makeover & Dressing experience is designed for those who would like makeup and styling without a professional photoshoot.

For discretion, your card transaction will appear as ALTEGO rather than Boys Will Be Girls.

Our studio is in a discreet residential apartment near Tower Bridge in central London, approximately 7 minutes’ walk from Bermondsey on the Jubilee line. There are no business signs on the building. We’ll share the full address after you book.

We recommend booking two to three weeks ahead for the best choice of appointments. At least 24 hours’ notice is required, and all bookings are subject to availability. We don’t accept same-day bookings.

Cindy’s online booking calendar shows all her available appointments. If your preferred date or time isn’t shown, please choose another available slot. For Victoria’s availability, please email us.

Please arrive at your booked appointment time, rather than early. If you’re running late, let us know as soon as possible. Late arrival may shorten your experience or if it’s a shorter package it could mean we’re unable to accommodate the appointment altogether.

Yes. You can buy a gift voucher for a chosen monetary amount or a specific BWBG experience. Vouchers are sent by email in a printable format, so you can print one and give it to the recipient.

Vouchers are valid for one year from purchase, and the appointment must take place within that year. Please email Cindy to enquire about buying a voucher or to book an experience using one.

We are just outside of it, so make sure to plan your route carefully before coming, so you don’t end up within the congestion zone. You still however, will need to pay ULEZ if your car is not exempt. 

Yes. We have a free parking space for clients. We’ll provide the access details after booking.

We accept card payments, PayPal, bank transfers and cash. A 50% deposit is required to reserve your appointment. We’ll confirm the payment arrangements for your chosen experience before you book.

Unfortunately, there is no lift or step-free access. Reaching the studio involves approximately 14 steps. If you have mobility or access requirements, please contact us before booking so we can discuss whether a visit would be manageable for you.

Yes. Victoria offers makeup-only appointments at your hotel or apartment, by prior arrangement and subject to availability. We can usually accommodate locations within London’s travel zones 1–2.

Please contact us with the address, the hotel’s name if applicable, your preferred date, and the time you need to be ready by. We’ll confirm whether we can accommodate your request and provide a quote that includes travel to your location.
